WWDC 2023 Expectations
WWDC 2023 is Apple’s annual event, announcing several new products. This year the event will take place from 5 to 9 June. During this event, Apple (as in previous years) will be introducing some new software, and probably some hardware will also arrive. But what exactly are the expectations for WWDC 2023?
Main reveal: iOS 17
Traditionally, Apple presents the latest version of iOS at WWDC every year. This year is expected to be no different. Apple will announce iOS 17 this time. It was previously claimed that this would not be a major iOS update due to the launch of Apple Reality.
Fortunately, a number of much-requested functions now appear to be coming to your iPhone. For example, according to rumors, there will be some changes to the lock screen and there will be a (sort of) diary app.
These WWDC 2023 expectations are nice, but when will you be able to install iOS 17 yourself? You have to be patient until September. New MacBooks are coming
Mark Gurman says in his most recent newsletter that Apple will introduce a number of new MacBooks during WWDC 2023. These MacBooks consist of a larger MacBook Air (at 15 inches), an improved 13-inch MacBook Air and a new 13-inch MacBook Pro.
There is one but: according to him, the new MacBooks will not get a new M3 chip. Instead, they stick to the M2 chips. Unfortunately, it is not yet known which variant that will be exactly.
WWDC 2023 expectations: there’s more
WWDC 2023 has even more exciting expectations in store for you. There will also be updates for the Apple Watch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. These are watchOS 10, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17 and macOS 14.
