WoW game sawn off by Blizzard: World of Warcraft fans get nothing
A new game in the World of Warcraft universe was worked on for three years. However, fans will never see it. According to an insider report, development was halted after a dispute between Blizzard and the developer. But is that really that bad?

Activision Blizzard and NetEase have been working together for three years to… World of Warcraft universe on smartphones bring to. However, a report by Bloomberg now makes it clear that the mobile game will never see the light of day. Accordingly, the project was quietly and secretly sawn off.
The reason for this is said to have been a dispute between Activision Blizzard and NetEase. According to an insider, the both companies have fallen out over contracts. As a result, NetEase also fired the 100 developers who worked on the secret WoW game. Few were transferred to other projects.

It is not known what exactly the WoW game for smartphones would have been about. However, the Bloomberg report makes it clear that it is not one simple port of the successful online role-playing game would have acted. Instead, it would have been a spin-off that would also have been set in a completely different time period. Nevertheless, it would have been an MMORPG.
So should World of Warcraft fans mourn the lost mobile game now? The premature The end of the project could also be a blessing. It’s not the first time Blizzard has partnered with NetEase, after all. The Chinese mobile developer is also responsible for Diablo Immortal. While the mobile game is a massive financial success for Blizzard, it has drawn criticism from players for its aggressive pay-to-win mechanics.
