Wish is a growing interactive online platform and app. The discounts are just mind-boggling with products from China only. It stands out for its fairly aggressive approach. It is still the 4th customer of the Facebook network.

Wish what is it?

Created by two former employees of Google and Yahoo, Wish promises several transactions per day. Wishlist, the first app was put forward in 2011. It gave Internet users the possibility to create a list of products they want to have. They asked traders to market the cheap products directly to application users.

How does the Wish platform work?

Like the majority of e-commerce sites, the user must have his profile. The creation of an account is done through a Facebook or Google account or by providing personal data:

• Last name and first names ;
• E-mail address.

Once online, the operation of the platform is relatively straightforward. Just do a search among the various categories available to you: beauty, accessories, leisure, fashion, high-tech, jewelry, bags and wallets, babies and children.

Each product will be listed as a thumbnail, with a percentage reduction to its left. If you have selected a product and wish to purchase it, then the price you paid will be shown in gray. Below you can see the number of people who have made similar orders. In addition, you will have access to customer reviews, descriptions and above all you will make your own opinion before the final choice.

Online ordering methods

First of all, it is important to specify that the orders placed all lead to a delivery. You can find inexpensive products ranging from electronics or makeup to clothing. However, the platform still practices particularly long delivery times even though the freight is reliable.

Delivery may take a few weeks or even months. We must therefore be patient. But it is possible to refer to a specialized Express section which will classify the goods whose deadline does not exceed the 7 days. Either way, you will benefit from a low discount fee.

On the site ecommerce Wish, everything comes from China and the products do not necessarily have a brand. In addition, the base price seems largely underestimated on the mobile app in order to make the promotion appear even more attractive and to encourage purchase.

For example, a makeup palette is sold for 20 euros, with the original price crossed out at 70 euros. It’s quite unlikely when you are alert to the price of makeup on sites like Prestashop or Shopify.

Quality that leaves much to be desired

For marketing influence and influencers, wish can be beneficial, because they can appropriate the brand as if it were their own. For the customer, not knowing the brand can be confusing. Difficult to know with precision the original price. The other consequence is that the customer does not want to buy overpriced products. Finally, the significant discounts are only present to make you buy more, even if the quality is not at the top.

On this e-commerce, abuse may therefore exist. The consumers’ association asks to denounce these false prices as well as deceptive and dangerous products.

Wish vs. the competition

The reliability with regard to delivery, is similar to its competitors like Amazon or Aliexpress. The reliability and reputation of sellers on Wish depends on the sellers themselves. So you can make your purchases and have it delivered to your home on the stock market.

Among the competition, we will count all the Chinese sites even if we can bet on Amazon. You will find similar products on Alibaba or Aliexpress. The resellers will all source from the same place. Of course, quality is not the priority, but we appreciate the progress of manufacturers.

Payment

Wish offers a payment method similar to its direct competitors. Thus, the site accepts classic bank cards but can also receive payments via PayPal or electronic wallets.

The prices charged are similar to those on cheap sites. The cost of a specific product does not have to change.
