Windows 11 will come next month, but so far without the support of Android applications

Microsoft is in great preparation for the release of the new Windows 11. It will bring several new features, but one of the most interesting is the native support for Android applications. However, the company announced this week that this feature will be available in the new system much later, perhaps in early 2022. The Android Police portal informs about the news.

A stable version of Windows 11 will be available on October 5

In a blog post where the company shared the sad news, it also stated that Windows 11 will be available on new computers from October 5. Shortly afterwards, existing devices running Windows 10 will also receive a free update. However, support for Android applications will continue to be tested through the Windows Insider beta. According to Microsoft, it will not come into the stable version until a few months later. It is estimated that this will happen at the end of this year or the beginning of 2022.

All Windows computers will be supported

The novelty will be available for all Windows 11 computers, regardless of hardware differences. However, as we are used to on a smartphone, you will not download Android applications to your computer via the Google Play store. They will be available through the official Microsoft Store, which will communicate with the Amazon Store through a partnership between Microsoft and Amazon.

The downside is that the Amazon app store only offers about half a million apps. On the other hand, you will fortunately find most of the most famous ones and you will be able to install the others manually.
