AirPods Max 2 expected
It’s been a while since Apple released the AirPods Max. Apple’s first headphones appeared in 2020 and have not received any updates since then. The new AirPods features, which Apple announced at WWDC, are also no longer coming to the AirPods Max. The only update that does come to the headphones is better switching between different devices.

So it’s high time for a new generation of AirPods Max. The rumors that Apple is working on a new pair of headphones have been going on for some time. For example, the usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo already indicated that the sound quality of the headphones in particular is improving significantly. Now one gives first draft us an idea of the design of the AirPods Max 2.
Design of the AirPods Max 2
With the concept of the AirPods Max 2, the headband of the headphones immediately stands out. We now know the new band from the Vision Pro and make the headphones much nicer to wear. Another big advantage of the new headband is that the AirPods Max 2 can be folded. This is not possible with the current AirPods Max, so that the headphones cannot be taken along compactly.
In addition, the AirPods Max 2 have a new connection. This allows the headphones to be charged with an external battery, or you can connect the AirPods Max 2 to a device with a cable. The concept even mentions a new U1 chip, so that the location of the headphones can be tracked much more precisely. Apple probably equips the AirPods Max 2 with the new H2 chip, the successor to the H1 chip of the first generation AirPods Max.

Of course, the new features such as adaptive audio and call detection also come to the new generation of AirPods Max. Existing functions such as noise reduction are much improved by the new design. All these improvements probably (again) for a hefty price tag. The first generation AirPods Max already had a starting price of 629 euros.

It is therefore expected that the AirPods Max 2 will be the same price or even more expensive. Apple will probably release the new AirPods Max this year, so we’ll have to wait a little longer. The first generation of AirPods Max appeared in December, so it is quite possible that the AirPods Max 2 will not appear until the end of the year.
