Will there be an iPhone 14 mini? Unknown model leaked
It will only be a few months before the iPhone 14 is presented. Until now, it seemed clear: there will be no iPhone 14 mini. But a new rumor gives hope to all lovers of small iPhones.

Five iPhone 14 models
One of the most discussed questions about the iPhone 14 is the number of models that Apple will present this fall. Ever since the iPhone 12, we’ve heard rumors that the mini-version of Apple’s phone would sell poorly and that the iPhone 13 mini will really be the last small iPhone.
It will be replaced by an iPhone 14 Max. It will have the same dimensions as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but the chip and functions of the iPhone 14. But now the leaker ra1ncloud know that an iPhone 14 mini may be on the way after all.
iPhone 14 mini leaked?
We will briefly summarize it for you. In general, there are four iPhone models that Apple wants to release. After the mediocre sales of the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, the company will reportedly offer a second larger iPhone this year. In addition to the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, there will be a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 Max replaces the iPhone mini. It doesn’t offer the Pro features of the higher-priced models, but it does offer a large screen. But what if Apple offered a fifth model? Leaker ra1ncloud discovered a fifth model of Apple’s phone in an unreleased iOS version.
In the unspecified iOS pre-release, ra1ncloud discovered five motherboard model numbers for the alleged iPhone 14 series.
Additional model number is the 14 mini?
The model numbers D73AP and D73pAP are expected to be the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. D72AP and D72pAP are supposed to be the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max – but that leaves D72bAP. The beginning of the model number indicates that this is not a Pro model. The addition of the small ‘p’ apparently refers to the Max models. But what does the ‘b’ stand for that we see in the unknown model? Could this possibly be the iPhone 14 mini? The leaker thinks so.
It remains to be seen whether Apple will actually give the iPhone mini another chance. In our view, Apple is more likely to introduce a new, lower-cost iPhone in Spring 2023 that will replace the iPhone SE with a modern design.
