Which iPhone do I have? That’s how you find out
Apple releases new phones every year and they can look quite similar. For example, the iPhone SE (from 2020) is almost identical to the iPhone 8, which came out a few years before. It is therefore not surprising that you may not know which model you have.
In this article we therefore explain how you can find out what kind of iPhone you actually have.
1. In the settings
How do you find out which iPhone you have? Via your iPhone of course! In the Settings app of your phone it is ‘just’ what model it is:
- Grab your iPhone and go to the Settings;
- Tap your name at the top to go to the overview of your Apple devices;
- Tap on the iPhone whose model you want to check. Usually it says “iPhone from [jouw naam]”;
- You will now see the iPhone model, but also which iOS version (the software) you are running and the IMEI number.
2. On the back
There is a second way to check which iPhone you have. Apple puts the model number on the box. Take out the packaging and look on the label for “Model A” followed by a four-digit code. This number represents the device you have. You can easily find your code in the list below.
