Apple is coming this year with a new iPhone series. Like the iPhone 14, this probably consists of four versions: the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 (Pro) and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 15 Pro and the Pro Max (or the Ultra) in particular receive a major update. Both devices get the new A17 Bionic chip. The new Pro Max also gets a new periscope lens, with which you can zoom in much further than you can now with the iPhone 14. Also, the Pro probably no longer has physical buttons. But when will the new iPhone range appear?

New iPhone 15 will not appear until September

Apple has not yet officially announced a date for the new iPhone to be launched. But we already have a good idea of ​​when the new iPhone will arrive. The employees of the Apple Store in England have been told that they are not allowed to take time off between September 15 and October 7, 2023. If they ask for time off around this time, it will not be approved.

So put September 15, 2023 in your calendar, because then Apple’s new iPhone will be released. If this is indeed the actual release date, the announcement will be a week earlier. Usually that is on Tuesday, so that will be September 5, 2023. The pre-order is then on September 8.

All new iPhones get Dynamic Island

The date is therefore almost certain, and more and more is known about the iPhone 15 Pro (Max). What about the ‘normal’ iPhone 15? So far it is clear that, despite the disappointing sales of the iPhone 14 Plus, there will still be an iPhone 15 Plus. This may be the last iPhone in a Plus version.

In addition, the regular iPhone takes over a number of functions from the iPhone 14 Pro. For example, the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro comes to all iPhone 15 models, so that Apple says goodbye to the old notch. The 48 MP camera of the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) is also coming to both devices. This is a significant upgrade over the 12 MP camera of the iPhone 14.

It is expected that the regular iPhones will again be equipped with an A16 chip. This chip can already be found in the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The regular iPhones therefore receive a slightly smaller update than the Pro models.
