When is the next Apple event? All keynotes from 2022

Apple regularly releases new products, which are announced during a special event† The iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 are expected at the upcoming Apple keynote. But when is the next Apple event?

Apple’s first event kicked off early this year. The spring event took place on March 8, with the presentation of various new products. The iPhone SE 2022, among others, was announced, as was a much improved iPad Air 2022.

Apple hosted the second keynote on June 6, 2022, during WWDC. This is Apple’s annual developer conference. iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS 13 Ventura and the new MacBook Air 2022 were revealed.

When will the next Apple event take place?

The next event on the Apple calendar is very likely in September 2022. September is traditionally the month in which Apple unveils its latest iPhones. This year it is the iPhone 14 series. The latest Apple Watch will also be announced at that time. And Apple may surprise with more new hardware, such as a new iPad (10th generation).

Usually, Apple organizes the iPhone event in the second or third week of September. This is usually on a Monday or Tuesday. As you also read in the message about the iPhone 14 release, these are the most likely dates:

• Date Apple September event: Tuesday September 13, 2022
• Date iPhone 14 pre-order: Friday September 16, 2022
• Date iPhone 14 release date: Friday September 23, 2022

So we expect the next Apple event to take place on September 13th. The latest iPhone 14 models and Apple Watch Series 8 are likely to be available for pre-order the following Friday. A week later (also on a Friday) it will be delivered at the earliest.

The date of the Apple event has not yet been determined. Apple usually sends an invite one to two weeks before the keynote, so we won’t know for sure until September.

Apple keynote in October

The September keynote probably won’t be the last Apple event of the year 2022. Apple traditionally ends the year with a keynote in October – or sometimes November. This is usually dominated by the latest Macs.

Apple is rumored to have several new Macs planned for this year. Among other things, a new Mac mini is expected. It is also likely that Apple will launch the first Mac Pro with Apple Silicon chip. There have also been rumors of a major iMac Pro in 2022, but its release has been delayed to 2023.
