WhatsApp lets you secure desktop app
According to the latest information from Wabetainfo, a new feature is being developed in WhatsApp’s desktop app. The messaging service will be given the option to secure the application by means of a password. The password is stored locally and therefore does not match that of the mobile app.
For the time being, the function is not planned for the web version of WhatsApp Web. Password protection can already be found in the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop for macOS. It is not known when the functionality will be available in the final version of WhatsApp.
