TCL 30 series announced: choice of five devices

During the Mobile World Congress of 2022, TCL announced five new smartphones. They are all devices in the TCL 30 series. We list the details.

TCL 30 Series

Last year, TCL came to the Netherlands with the TCL 20 series. That series is now being expanded with a number of successors. In total, this concerns five devices that will be announced by TCL. That sounds like a lot, but if you choose a new model name for every small change, that naturally adds up quickly.

First of all, there are the TCL 30 and TCL 30+. These are almost identical to each other. There is a MediaTek Helio G37 chipset, a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen and a 5010 mAh battery with 18W charging. In addition, TCL offers the devices three cameras with a 50MP main lens. The TCL 30 series comes directly with Android 12, has stereo speakers and a fingerprint scanner in the power button.

The differences are in the selfie cam; 8MP (TCL 30) and 13MP (30+), and 128GB of memory on the Plus, 64GB on the standard model. If you want this phone with 5G, you will end up with the third model in this series; the TCL 30 5G. This one has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.

TCL 30 E and TCL 30 SE

Two other models that have a lot in common are the TCL 30 E and TCL 30 SE. These have a 6.52-inch HD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, support for the 4G network, Android 12 and a 5000 mAh battery. The camera has 50MP and there is a 2MP depth lens. The SE also gets a 2MP macro lens. The fingerprint scanner is on the back. Small differences are in the front camera and the memory.
