Last year, WhatsApp made a big announcement that you could now use the messaging app on multiple devices at the same time. That sounds very good, but in practice there were many limitations. It was not possible, for example, to connect your work phone in addition to your private telephone. But you can link multiple PCs and tablets to your account, which will then remain logged in. You can use WhatsApp with up to five devices at the same time.
According to the reliable WABetaInfo, the messaging service has plans to run WhatsApp on multiple phones at the same time. This is evident from screenshots that the rumor spreader shares. We see a menu with which you can link a second device to your existing WhatsApp account and according to WABetaInfo this menu is specifically intended for mobile devices.
The interface shows that a QR code will appear on your second phone during the installation, which you then have to scan with your first phone. If this application of the multi-device function works in the same way, your second phone will also remain logged in and if you send messages on that device, end-to-end encryption will continue to work. it is not known when WhatsApp will roll out the improvement.
