WhatsApp messages with an expiration date can now be saved

You can now save the ‘Messages with expiration date’ or disappearing messages in WhatsApp. According to WhatsApp, this comes in handy if there is a voice note or important information that you still want to keep.

WhatsApp introduces the ability to save messages that you need later, but with the sender’s permission: “We believe that once you have sent a message, it is up to you to decide whether other chat participants can do so for later. save.”

What are ‘Messages with due dates’?

The ‘Messages with expiration date’ in WhatsApp are messages that disappear after 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days. They can then no longer be read by the recipients. In addition, there are even more options.

The feature is intended to improve the privacy of conversations for people who want it. Recipients can still take a photo or screenshot of the message, or copy the contents of the message with an expiration date. In addition, if your message with due date is forwarded to a chat where the ‘Messages with due date’ feature is disabled, the message in this chat will not disappear.
