WhatsApp is visually overhauling its camera

WhatsApp is making all kinds of changes to the service, including innovations in the field of voices and being able to chat with new contacts faster. Now it comes with another adjustment, because the camera is going to be overhauled.

Send photos in WhatsApp

You can send a photo in WhatsApp by taking a snapshot yourself with your phone’s camera app and sending it, but it is also possible to open the camera from WhatsApp. Here you have slightly less extensive options, but it is certainly a handy medium for a quick photo. Now it looks like WhatsApp’s camera is getting slightly improved.

At least, it’s about camera options that iPhone users have had for some time, but were not yet present on Android. However, Webetainfo sees in the beta version of WhatsApp that this will soon change. These are not very big changes, but if you want to select earlier photos, for example, you see it differently now. There is no longer a row of photos, just a small tile at the bottom showing only a thumbnail of your last photo.

Furthermore, the adjustments are not very extreme, but the camera in WhatsApp does look a bit more subtle in terms of icons. It also helps that those tiles are not visible, because especially if someone borrows your phone and it is not the intention that that person sees your latest photos, this can sometimes cause uncomfortable situations.

There is a good chance that this option is also coming to the stable version of WhatsApp. However, you can still choose to send your own photos, which you will soon be able to send in a much higher resolution (namely up to 2GB, so move over WeTransfer).
