WhatsApp is testing a different new feature

WhatsApp messaging service is testing a new feature. They think you will be using this new application a lot, but is that really the case!?

WhatsApp regularly tests features that do not yet exist. They do this in test versions where users can already ‘play’ with the application. For the service itself, it is useful to see whether the function works well and whether users actually use it.

New feature WhatsApp

WABetaInfo saw the new feature in a beta version called 2.22.6.70. This version is available through Apple TestFlight. In this version it is possible to create a poll in iOS. In addition, it uses end-to-end encryption. Testers can then create a survey directly in group conversations. People who are also in that group can then submit an answer.

The function is currently being tested. It is not yet entirely clear what the new application can do. Maybe it can do more than just create a poll. Also, WABetaInfo doesn’t know if a founder of such a poll can pre-enter answers. Or that all results become visible to all participants of the group.

Test version

The test version currently runs on iOS. It is expected that a test version will follow for Android and PC at a later date. After testing and calculating the results, the service will decide whether the function will be available to everyone. There is no timetable for this, so we will have to wait a little longer.
