WhatsApp gets a new navigation bar at the bottom of the screen

WhatsApp is testing a new navigation bar in WhatsApp Beta. The new navigation bar should make navigating the app even easier and, above all, more accessible.

New navigation bar in WhatsApp

WhatsApp is working on a new interface layout that, among other things, should make navigating the app easier. A new navigation bar at the bottom of WhatsApp should take care of this. This bar should make it even easier to switch between the Chats, Communities, Status and Calls pages. This should be a leap forward, especially in terms of accessibility, because different pages are easier to reach via the bottom of the screen. The new navigation bar was discovered by WaBetaInfo and you can see it in the image below.

In addition, WhatsApp for Android should look more like the iOS version with the new interface. This should make it easier for users who switch from an iPhone to an Android smartphone to switch.

When available?

The custom interface with the new navigation bar is still under development. The function is the first to be seen in the beta version of the app and will come to the ‘regular’ version of WhatsApp later via an update. It is not yet known exactly when this is. We expect the new navigation bar to make its way to the stable version of WhatsApp in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp has rolled out the feature to version 2.23.8.4. of the beta version of the app.

What do you think of the new navigation bar at the bottom of WhatsApp? Do you already have it? Let us know in the comments below this article, we are curious.
