WhatsApp adds a feature we’ve been waiting for a long time
The most used application for text communication WhatsApp should soon get the feature that users have been calling for for years. According to the portal AndroidCentral this should be able to sign in to your account from multiple smartphones.
You will be able to log in to your account on both your smartphone and tablet
The feature recently appeared in a beta version of the application called “Multi-device”. In practice, this allows you to use your WhatsApp account on four other devices in addition to your primary smartphone. If your primary smartphone isn’t online, you’ll have an account running on the other smartphone with fully synchronized messages.
According to WABetaInfo, the new version of the feature should be called Multi-device 2.0 and should also bring support for Android tablets and Apple iPad devices. Whether this will be the case when it is released in a stable version before the end of the year is not entirely up to date WABetainfo confirmed.
WhatsApp will also improve the reporting of inappropriate messages and bring a new business directory
There were also reports last week that WhatsApp was working on a more private form of reporting violations of service rules. It should provide users with the opportunity to report specific messages in both individual and group interviews. The feature is already available in beta and will reach a stable version in a few weeks.
WhatsApp is also testing a new business directory in the app. The directory will show businesses near you based on different categories. This feature is likely due to weaker ad revenue from the service. The pilot testing is currently underway in São Paulo, Brazil, but is likely to spread to other cities over time.
