what would you prefer to spend your Google Play Points on?

Within the Play Store there is a digital stamp system, with which you can save for all kinds of great rewards. In some countries you even have the choice of a Google T-shirt, if you are a big fan and want to propagate it. In this edition of the AW Poll we ask you: what do you want to spend your Google Play points on?

Play Points

Play Points are the Google rewards program where you get points when you spend money in the Play Store. It has been available in the Netherlands since 2021 and you receive points based on money you spend in the Play Store, which you can then exchange for multiple options within the Play Store. You earn 1 Play Point per euro you spend (but if you do this often, your status will go up and you will earn them faster). The levels are bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

You don’t have to spend your points all at once or immediately when you get them. You can save them for purchases you want. Google Play credit is an option: a good option, because it never really expires and you can use it to buy apps, rent a movie or purchase an audiobook at a later time. You can also make discount coupons or in-app purchases: for example, think of gems in a game. That saves you investing real money (or a lot of time). Depending on your status, you also get more options: for example, with a platinum status you have an improved support experience if you run into problems.

In the United States and Canada, Play-points are much more interesting: there you can buy all kinds of partner rewards, but also that T-shirt, or the option to buy in-app or in-game items. In the Netherlands and Belgium, Google is less enthusiastic about offering rewards. We do it with only Google Play credit or discounted in-app or in-game items.

That’s why we asked ourselves what you would prefer to spend Google Play points on, if you had the choice. You can choose one thing that you would spend most often or most points on. Cast your vote now on the AW Poll:

Thanks in advance for participating. This weekend we will take you back into the outcome. Maybe Google is reading along…
