We’ll still have to wait to get Apple’s 27-inch Mini-LED display
Last I heard, Apple’s 27-inch Mini-LED display was supposed to arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2023. But that’s no longer on the cards.
Ross Young, an analyst well versed in screens, told MacRumors have not seen any particular movement regarding the production plants for this 27-inch Mini-LED screen from Apple. We will therefore have to wait a little longer before discovering it.
There was originally talk of a launch in June 2022. Plans then changed to an arrival in October of the same year. Again, plans have evolved with availability for the first quarter of 2023. And now it’s not for this time yet.
It remains to be seen whether Apple encounters any problem or whether the group prefers to wait for a specific moment to market this screen. After all, some recent products have been assembled for a few months to come out only at the beginning of the year. This is particularly the case with the box of the Mac mini M2 which indicates 2022, the URL of the Apple site which also indicated 2022 (while the presentation was made in 2023) or the fact that the HomePod 2 runs by defect under version 16.0 which dates… from September.
The new screen could be presented as a “Studio Display Pro”, with a size of 27 inches, Mini-LED and ProMotion support. This commercial name from Apple corresponds to a variable frame rate that can climb up to 120 Hz. With the existing Studio Display, there is a 60 Hz LCD panel (without ProMotion therefore).
