This new function in the ABN AMRO app helps you with your money worries

The ABN AMRO app is not only there to make payments, it also gives you more insight into the ups and downs of your money. Until now, this was mainly in the form of looking back, but the bank is now offering an opportunity to look ahead.

Future

The new function is called ‘Future’ and it helps you by making a prediction of what will happen on your account. Based on transactions that have occurred more often in the past, the bank estimates what will happen in the coming month. The new functionality should help you with your money worries. It is difficult to imagine what will arrive on your account, especially if you cannot keep an overview yourself.

Things that can come up in your predictions are, for example, your mortgage or rent, your energy bill, but also subscriptions to streaming services such as Spotify and HBO Max. Of course, the bank cannot estimate unexpected transactions, such as the MOT of your car or if your washing machine suddenly needs to be replaced. But it does help you to at least put some money aside for these upcoming trades.

ABN AMRO

This useful feature is not new. There are more banks that offer this. For example, ING has had the ‘Look ahead’ option for years to make the same types of estimates and thus provide insight into your future expenses. Nevertheless, it is good that ABN AMRO is introducing it: many people are very concerned about their financial situation, because fuel has become more expensive, for example, but energy bills have also risen to great heights in recent months.

We’ve written about this feature in the app before, but now it’s here: it’s rolling out now.
