Wear OS watches are getting new features and updates
New features are coming soon to Wear OS, Google’s operating system for smartwatches. For example, there will be new integrations of WhatsApp, Spotify and various Google apps. In this article we list some new features for you.

1. WhatsApp on Wear OS
This week we already wrote about the integration of WhatsApp in Wear OS. WhatsApp comes with a special app for the operating system in which you can reply to messages and accept calls, without having to pick up your phone. 2. New Spotify integrations
Spotify also comes with new applications for its app on Wear OS. For example, there will be three new tiles – tiles – with which you should be able to use the service better on your Wear OS smartwatch. Among other things, you could easily play music and podcast episodes, play a playlist curated by Spotify’s DJ and see which songs are in rotation.
3. More functions of Google apps
In a press release, Google also reports that more functions of various Google apps are coming to Wear OS. In the Google Home app on the watches, you should soon be able to see, for example, that we are at your door. Provided you have connected a Nest doorbell, of course. There will also be special apps from Google Calendar and Gmail to Wear OS. This would allow you to respond to emails faster and view appointments in your calendar, among other things. All this on your smartwatch and without having to grab your smartphone.
Finally, Google reports that more functions should come to Wear OS later this year regarding accessibility. Here they give the example of a better and, above all, faster text-to-speech experience.
