We know the cast of The Last of Us -apkrig
We have known HBO’s plans for a serial adaptation of The Last of Us since March last year. The screenwriter is Craig Mazin, who signed the excellent series Chernobyl. The executive producer is the main designer of the game, Neil Druckmann, who, together with the supervising people from Sony, is a guarantee that the series will not deviate too much from its original. The music will be provided by composer Gustavo Santaolalla, who has participated in both previously released works of The Last of Us. And we also know the name of the director of the pilot, who will be Kantemir Balagov. But only now is the first information about the cast coming, and Deadline magazine, with its exclusive information, has headed the very highest at the beginning – to Joel and Ellie.
Given that the series will take place at the time of the first part of the game, we must go back in time to imagine the form of the main protagonists. Joel and Ellie were younger than the vivid memory of The Last of Us Part II, they could not rely on the safe hinterland of Jackson, and Ellie in particular lacked experience. Perhaps that is why the authors of the series decided to cast 17-year-old Bella Ramsey in her role, which you probably remember from the series Game of Thrones, where she played the defiant Lady Lyanna Mormont. Her acting counterpart in the role of Joel will be Pedro Pascal, who, as Oberyn Martell, also blinked in The Game of Thrones, but is better known for his cast in the series Narcos or Mandalorian, although he is not visible in his face.
Deadline magazine came up with information about the cast, but unfortunately it does not bring any closer comments from the serial creators or individual actors, although both of them reacted at least on social networks. Pascal and Ramsey shared the same artwork from the first episode of The Last of Us and added one quote, but we don’t know anything more at the moment. Of course, the fans reacted to the cast in the comments, and while they are generally more satisfied with Pascal, Ramsey is quite criticized in the role of Ellie. On the other hand, of course, no one draws any conclusions from the bickering of the fans – in the past it has been proven many times that at first glance the not very good choice on the series worked well and the fears quickly dissolved.
