watchOS 9 beta 4: now available to developers

Beta 4 of watchOS 9 has been released by Apple and is available to developers. iPhoned tells you what’s new in this update!

watchOS 9 beta 4: minor bug fixes update

Developers can now get started with beta 4 of watchOS 9. It seems that Apple has not added any interesting new features in this update. The update will probably mainly contain bug fixes and minor software updates.

New in watchOS 9

The fact that there are no new functions in beta 4 of watchOS 9 does not mean that it will not be a cool update soon. We’ve put together the most interesting new features of watchOS 9 for you!

New watch faces

Perhaps the nicest addition in watchOS 9 is the new watch faces. Four new watch faces will be added, named Lunar, Playtime, Metropolitan and Astronomy. In addition, some older watch faces and complications are getting an update.

ECG app and sleep tracking updates

There’s news for the EKG app. With the EKG app you make an electrocardiogram, also known as a heart film. With the app, you can also see in watchOS 9 how long someone has had an attack of atrial fibrillation.

In addition, there are new functions for tracking your sleep. it then becomes possible to track different stages of sleep. This way you can see when you are in deep sleep, for example.

New features for the Workout app

The Workout app gets custom workouts and improvements for runners, triathlon runners and swimmers. Fitness+ now supports streaming to certain televisions if you don’t have an Apple TV (but Fitness+ is not available in the Netherlands).

Other minor changes in watchOS 9

Furthermore, Apple will also give the notifications on the Apple Watch a small update. They have a slightly different look and are less obtrusive when your Apple Watch screen is active.

Buy (or upgrade) Apple Watch
