The innovations of watchOS 8.6 beta 2
Developers can now download and test the second beta of watchOS 8.6. Apple will release this software at the same time as the second betas for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Unfortunately, we don’t really see any new features with this version of watchOS. This is in contrast to watchOS 8.5, which was packed with new features. The most notable is a series of new emojis.
Stability and security are central to watchOS 8.6 beta 2. A lot of bugs have been fixed in the Apple Watch software. We hope to see more new features for your smartwatch at the WWDC 2022 software event. Apple will launch watchOS 9 on June 6.
Consumers still have to wait for watchOS 8.6
This update is only available to developers and beta testers. If you as a consumer want to be sure of a properly working operating system, you have to wait a little longer for the real new watchOS 8.6. Can’t wait? Then sign up to become a beta tester.

Our wishes for the new Apple Watch software
Since this update isn’t that exciting, we’re really looking forward to WWDC on June 6. As mentioned, we hope to get many new features with watchOS 9. We have already listed our wishes. For example, we would like to see more watch faces and customization options and we want Apple’s Health app to appear on the Apple Watch.
In addition, it would be great if we could create quick notes on Apple’s smartwatch. We also heard about new safety and health features. If you’re in a car accident, your Apple Watch may automatically dial 911 in the future.
