watchOS 10 is coming

The new version of watchOS therefore contains many cool and useful options. Still, one frequently requested feature is still not possible in the new watchOS version. It is also not allowed in watchOS 10 to add your own watch faces to your Apple Watch. You are again limited to the watch faces that Apple creates for you. Apple has now explained why this is not possible.
Widgets become more important in watchOS 10
According to Kevin Lynch, Apple’s chief technology officer, Apple is putting a lot of effort into creating new watch faces for the Apple Watch. Third-party watch faces are not allowed in watchOS 10, because every watch face must work uniformly and simply according to Lynch. This makes it easy to add new functions or modify existing functions.
Lynch emphasizes that as a user you do get more freedom in watchOS 10. You are not allowed to create watch faces yourself, but in watchOS 10 it is possible to add more widgets to your home screen. The new smart stacks of widgets in watchOS 10 let you control what information you see on the watch face. You can then add a total of three widgets.
New watchOS update will not appear until the fall
In watchOS 10 you do indeed get a little more freedom on the home screen of your Apple Watch, but you are limited to the space and watch faces that Apple gives you. It will take a while before you can get started with the new watchOS functions, because the update will not appear until after the summer. The update usually appears in mid-September, which will probably also be the case this year.
