Watch thousands of TV channels without having to pay? That’s how you do that
Are you a cable cutter but do you sometimes miss those current affairs programs, the reality shows or those wonderful romcoms to flip through? A streaming service such as Netflix, Disney + or HBO Max will not be able to help you with that, but there is a way to watch ‘normal’ TV without having to take out a subscription that costs you money every month.
Television subscription
Many people stop with the television subscriptions of Ziggo and KPN, for example. They are relatively expensive, especially with the rise of streaming services, which means that many people also have a subscription to them. That all becomes a bit much, and certainly always have to be ready at a certain moment and then also have to watch commercials: many people are no longer waiting for that. Reason to stop with that television subscription. But that doesn’t mean you have to stop watching linear television.
There is a fanatical satellite club that has it all figured out. It is called De Transponder and is known from the channel list Hans, which you can use in combination with Enigma2 Linux. However, if you don’t have that receiver, there is fortunately another solution. You can also get it done with an online media player, a PC, a tablet or a media player that is equipped with Google TV / Android TV. The satellite club has made two lists for this (in m3u format, so you can only consult them via special apps). One for television, and one for radio, if you miss that.

The lists are updated once a month anyway and your tech will take care of that after you have connected to those lists. So now you don’t have to miss Dutch or Belgian television anymore. In fact, even regional channels can often be seen via those handy lists of De Transponder. But if you prefer the island feeling: the television channels of the ABC islands, so Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are also included.
