A suitable online presence and the one-live stream are now standard for all public broadcasters. Here we show you what options there are to see One HD in the live stream.
With One, Das Erste and WDR have bundled the so-called “young program” of the public broadcasters on one channel. Since October 1, 2016, One has taken over the slot from the former broadcaster Einsfestival – in the same breath the program of EinsPlus was discontinued.
On One, evening programs such as “Kroymann”, “The Sister” and “Doctor Who” try to convince the young and the young-at-heart of the linear television program. At noon and in the afternoon, the typical ARD audience is addressed with repetitions of “Storm of Love” or “In All Friendship”. The die-hard onliners are trying to pick up ARD and ZDF with radio.
The official one live stream
The first port of call if you want to watch One HD live stream is the official website. Apart from the broadcasting fees, you can follow the broadcaster’s live stream here for free. However, there is a small restriction for the official live stream: As with all live streams of public broadcasters, it can happen that a certain program is not broadcast in the live stream for licensing reasons.
Apart from this small restriction, you can watch One here without any problems via the browser or via the ARD app on smartphones and tablets. In addition to the live stream from One, the ARD app also offers the other ARD broadcasters (i.e. NDR, WDR, arte etc.) and access to their media libraries.

One can also be watched on PC, smartphone and tablet via any of the various TV streaming services. The advantage of the streaming services: They transmit the normal television program without restrictions and, depending on the service and subscription package, you have other channels available that you can flick back and forth between. The disadvantage: With the free memberships, the channels can often only be received in SD quality.
