Want to listen to Spotify on your iPod? It is possible with this ‘app’
Do you ever think back to the iPod? You’re not the only one! A developer has created a web version of iPod that allows you to listen to Spotify and Apple Music. The ‘app’ is free.
Read on after the ad.
This is how you listen to Spotify on an iPod
The iPod changed not only the Apple company, but also the entire music industry. The iconic device came out in 2001 and allowed you to listen to your favorite songs anywhere, anytime. Apple still sells the iPod touch, but the purpose of the gadget has since been taken over by the iPhone.
However, a little nostalgia doesn’t hurt anyone. Software developer Tanner Villaretea has built a website that allows you to listen to Spotify and Apple Music on an iPod. Trying out? That is how it works:
- Go to Tanner Villarete’s website;
- Select ‘Sign In’ at the very bottom. You navigate through the iPod with the arrows on your keyboard;
- Choose Apple Music or Spotify and log in to the music service with your login details;
- Are you logged in? Then the listening can begin!
The ‘app’ works better on your Mac than it does on your iPhone. You cannot log in to Spotify on your phone. That’s a shame, because the operation is better on your iPhone. This is because you can turn the well-known rotary wheel of the iPod.
Villarete has completely rebuilt the iPod. So you can enjoy ‘Cover Flow’ for example. This function was revolutionary for its time, because all album covers were presented in a very beautiful way.
There is also one game in the new iPod: Brick. This game is very similar to Pong. You have to destroy all the blocks at the top of the game by tapping the bouncing ball just right. You do this by cleverly moving the bar at the bottom back and forth.
