VW sets upper limit for ID versions

If you want to buy one of the popular electric cars from VW, you have to be quick or lucky. Car dealers can only get very limited numbers of the ID.3 and ID.4 models. Even customers who are still getting an e-car have to be patient.

VW introduces quotas: lousy prospects for e-car buyers

The ramp-up of electric cars is taking on new dimensions. At VW, they now seem to be forced to act and only give very limited numbers of e-cars to the dealers. The chances of potential customers getting hold of an ID.3 or ID.4 in the foreseeable future are dwindling.

Volkswagen is said to have started issuing quotas to car dealers for the two models from the ID series. The following applies: the larger the car dealership, the more electric vehicles are available in Wolfsburg.
