Vivo stops in the Netherlands after three months: activities on break

For the time being, it is over and done with the Chinese manufacturer Vivo in the Netherlands. The manufacturer started at the end of July with the arrival to the Netherlands, but is holding it up for the time being. Vivo itself talks about a temporary break.

Vivo presses pause button

Since the end of July, we have been able to choose from a new brand for your smartphone in the Netherlands. Several Vivo devices were for sale in the Netherlands. These were smartphones in different price ranges, including the Vivo X80 Pro that was already released in the expensive segment. In addition, there were some smartphones in the Y series in the mid-range. The prices were between 219 euros and 1099 euros. So much for the good news, as is clear from reporting to the colleagues of Androidworld.

They report that they have heard from Vivo that the brand is temporarily ceasing its activities in the Netherlands. The reason would be the economic uncertainty. The manufacturer says it will focus on efforts and minimize the risks of further expansion. Vivo says it has paused market entry in the Netherlands for the time being. Dutch customers will be assisted by Vivo Europe for after sales and warranty repairs. It is unknown (if and) when Vivo will officially return to the Netherlands. Like OnePlus and Oppo, Vivo also belongs to parent company BKK. A distributor was used in the Netherlands for the delivery of smartphones.
