From petting goats to taking a pony ride and eating a pancake. Farm ‘t Geertje in Zoeterwoude has endless farm entertainment for families. Tip for the hot days: at ‘t Geertje you can rent rowing boats and canoes to paddle through the polder.
Farm experience
At Roke’s Erf Farm in Ommen you can play a game of farmer’s golf, walk along the clog path and get lost in the maize maze. Make some time for a look in the stables and to romp in the straw play barn.
Unpacking in summer
The farmers and horticulturists are unpacking this summer. In the north of the Netherlands you will find a lot of farm activities from July onwards. Think of cycling and walking tours, milking cows, wandering through an exciting corn maze and of course guided tours and cuddling with animals in the yard. Check the map for activities near you.
A slice of cheese
That slice of cheese on your sandwich is made somewhere. At Kaasboerderij De Deelen in Friesland, they explain how it works. During the experience route on the farm you will receive an explanation about cheese making and you will of course pass the cows. And finally: the playground with pedal tractors and go-karts.
Happy farm
This place is not called the Happyfarm for nothing. Racing with pedal tractors or go-karts, jumping on inflatables, cuddling with bunnies, a ride on the pony and even a farmer’s escape room. These activities at the play farm in Terschuur make everyone happy.
Help feed
At Doe-Boerderij De Steenuil in Oirschot you will be completely immersed in farm life. Farmers’ wives and budding farmers play in the hay barn, cuddle with the animals or help feed them. It rains? There is also a nice indoor playground with large slides here.
Play farm
At the cozy Recreation Farm of Johan and Caroline in Wagenberg, playing is fine. Your kids can cuddle animals on the animal meadow and let loose in the playground. There is also room on this farm to set up a tent for the real farm experience.

mini tractors
Before you know it, your child will be tearing around on a mini tractor. At Stadsboerderij De Korenmaat in Arnhem, farm life is at your feet. There are regular children’s activities on the farm, but strolling around with the family is also nice.
Loekker
There is so much to do on the experience boulevard of Landgoed Kaamps in Deurningen. Here you can see the cows, the milking with the milking robot and the cheese making. With a climbing frame, playhouse, slide and air trampoline, the playground is a nice extra.
Super summer
You will experience a super summer at the Flierefluiter in Raalte. This play farm is always a party, with special animals, indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The SuperZomerFestival takes this a step further, with a face painting tent, Grote-Flierefluiter-Zomershow, the farmer’s games and a clown show.
For ice cream monsters
This outing is very suitable for ice cream monsters. At IJsboerderij De Schoonheuvel in Hedel, the freshly made ice cream is already waiting for you. After such a delicious ice cream, it’s time to take action yourself. From farmer’s golf and canoeing to cuddling animals and milking an artificial cow.
On the farm
At Kinderboerderij de Meent in Hilversum it is a colorful bunch of farm animals. Take a look at the sheep with your children or visit the goats. Tip: after a tour of the farm, take a seat on the terrace of tea house Juffrouw Jansen. A favorite spot.
Coziness
Farm Zorgvrij in Velsen-Zuid is bursting with fun children’s activities. For the little ones there is a nice playground and an animal meadow. The area around the farm is also beautiful. You walk through the owl forest to a beautiful orchard. And in the spider play forest, children can clamber and play for hours.
