Virtually try on shoes on your iPhone

Shoes fit on iPhone: with augmented reality
It may sound a bit strange: your shoes fit on your iPhone. Still, it’s possible, because the Amazon app has a new feature that allows you to try out your future ‘pattas’, ‘shoebas’ or simply ‘sneakers’ first.
Before you get started, you’ll need the Amazon app. Therefore, first download the app from the App Store.
Virtually trying on shoes on your iPhone currently only works in the US version of the app. But you can easily set that up.
- Start the Amazon app and tap the menu at the bottom right (the icon with the three lines);
- Scroll down if necessary and tap ‘Settings’;
- Choose ‘Country & Language’ and tap the top button ‘Country/region’;
- Then choose ‘United States’ and tap ‘Done’.
Virtual Try-on in the Amazon app
Then type ‘virtual try on’ in the search box and tap ‘Try Now’. Scroll through the list of sneakers and tap on the shoes you want to try on. Tap ‘Virtual Try-on’ under the shoes image.
Then give the app permission to use your camera if it asks and point your iPhone’s camera at your feet. You can then view the shoes from all sides. Below you will see other colors of the shoes you are wearing. So you can try all colors. Press the arrow at the top left if you want to check other shoes.
NB! With this app you can see what the shoes look like when you wear them. Virtually trying on your shoes on your iPhone says nothing about how the shoes actually run and how they feel.
Virtually try on clothes
If you look a bit further on the Virtual Try-on page, it is also possible to try on glasses and even try out t-shirts. Before trying out t-shirts, you must first take two photos, so that the app knows how the t-shirts fall. The app tells you exactly how to make them. For both the glasses and the t-shirts, tap ‘Virtual try-on’ under the image of the shirt or glasses you want to try.
