Update on Android 11 and One UI 3.1 launched

Company Samsung continues to update its smartphones and next in line is the model Samsung Galaxy M51. According to the portal SamMobile now receives update with system Android 11 and superstructure One UI 3.1.

The update also includes a March security patch

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is a lower-middle-class smartphone that came on the market last fall. Its main advantage is the battery with a capacity of 7000 MAh, which provides the device with three days of endurance. When launched, this model had pre-installed Android 10 with One UI 2.x.

Thanks to updates marked M515FXXU2CUB7 will upgrade the software to Android 11 and One 3.1. A March Android security patch is also included. Samsung Galaxy M51 is one of the selected models for which Samsung recently extended the warranty of security updates for 4 years.

Currently, the update is distributed in Russia and is gradually reaching European countries. You can check the possible availability in the section Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install. Prior to installation, make sure that the battery is charged to at least 70% of its capacity.

Android 11 should further improve the already excellent battery life

As already mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy M51 smartphone has up to three days per charge thanks to its huge battery capacity. Thanks to the improved adaptive battery saving in the Android 11 system, the endurance could even be extended. In addition, other useful features await smartphone owners.

An example is common control for all smart devices in the home. The heating or lights can now be controlled via one common interface. They invoke it by long pressing the power button. They will now also choose directly from the notification bar whether the sound should be played via the built-in speaker, Bluetooth or connected headphones via cable.

Security updates through the Google Play store provide greater security. Users will also be able to add permissions once to applications. If you do not use the application for a long time, its permissions will be automatically revoked. And conversations from any communication application will be able to be firmly connected to the screen in the form of a bubble.

Samsung is active in the updates, but also the competition

Samsung has started updating its smartphones to the latest Android 11 system in late autumn. Of course, last year’s flagship models of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 series, including the Galaxy S20 FE, were the first to receive it. This was followed by the flagship series Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 from 2019.

Their modified versions of Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite were not forgotten either. The update of the expensive folding devices Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip was also not surprising. The surprise was definitely Android 11 for cheaper models Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31.

Huawei again brought the EMUI 11 superstructure to the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro models.

Motorola has now started distributing Android 11 for its very first Motorola moto g pro smartphone. OnePlus has previously updated the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro models. They received OxygenOS 11 built on Android 11. The Japanese company Sony again recently launched an update for its smartphones Xperia 10 II, Xperia 5 II or Xperia 1 and 5.
