Upcoming CoD is not a shooter

Call of Duty becomes a board game
It might sound like a belated April Fool’s joke, but Activision means business. Apparently they are working on one together with Arcane Wonders Board game adaptation of Call of Duty.
The project is to be completed in the course of Summer 2023 on Kickstarter land – Arcane Wonders and Activision probably want to roughly explore how great the interest of the players is in a board game implementation of what is probably the best-known first-person shooter franchise in the world.

However, how exactly the fast action of CoD should be implemented in the form of a board game remains open.
end gadget was able to tease out a few additional details from Arcane Wonders. That’s how the board game should be different scenarios and game modes offer and fans should also recognize some of the well-known CoD maps from the multiplayer in the game.
In the role of some soldiers you apparently target opponents with weapons and special abilities. Whether you fight the game together with other players or fight each other or at least compete with each other is not explained.
We won’t find out more until the official Kickstarter campaign starts in late summer.
