Unsolvable vulnerability discovered in Apple M1 chip!

A special state of affairs. The Apple M1 chip appears to have a vulnerability that cannot be solved.

The launch of Apple’s own chips for the Macs was accompanied by a lot of hosanna. And credit where credit is due, the chips do indeed work like a spear with the computers of the American tech company. We have now arrived at the M2, the second generation of chips.

But something is wrong with the M1. Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) discovered this. What appears now. The M1 chip contains a vulnerability that allows attackers to get through a security. This cannot be solved for Apple, because the problem has to do with the hardware.

Based on a proof of concept, the clever minds managed to carry out such an attack on an Apple M1 chip themselves. The researchers themselves were surprised by the result. They didn’t think they’d be able to get through security.

The result of this research sounds scarier than it actually is. In a response, Apple says it thanks the researchers, but that there is no current risk for Mac users with an M1 chip. (via Techcrunch)
