Unlock Vanellope and Dream Snaps
Through the friendship quests “The Ghost of Dreamlight Valley” and “Faith, Trust and Pixel Dust” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can get the resident Vanellope and also unlock the multiplayer feature DreamSnaps. Here we show how it works.
Unlock Vanellope and DreamSnaps
In order to unlock the famous character Vanellope from “Ralph’s Enough”, you must start Scrooge McDuck’s quest “The Ghost of Dreamlight Valley”. So go to Scrooge’s shop and talk to him. He sends you in search of a ghost who is said to be at the top of the dream castle.
Next to the fountain in the castle you will meet Vanellope von Schleetz. If you talk to her, the next task will start automatically “Faith, Trust and Pixel Dust” and the DreamSnaps feature will be unlocked.
How does Dream Snaps work?
DreamSnaps is a new game mode in which you have to take particularly creative photos under certain conditions in weekly changing tasks. You can then send them in and have them rated by other players. The best photos will then be rewarded with in-game prizes.
In the event menu you can always find the current DreamSnaps challenge and the voting area to rate other players’ photos. When a challenge is active, you can view the requirements in photo mode by pressing the R2/RT button. Alternatively, they are displayed in the wardrobe and furniture menu.
Complete Faith, Trust and Pixel Dust
Vanellope’s quest requires you to complete your first DreamSnaps challenge. You should decorate any area with five pieces of furniture each, which belong to the categories “Playful” and “Familiar”.
When you open the furniture menu after starting the quest, you can press the Options/Menu button to turn on the filter, which will automatically show you all the furniture in your possession that matches the required categories.
Alternatively, you can of course also determine the filters yourself and limit them even further if you want to create certain photo backdrops. If you don’t have enough appropriate furniture, you can buy more from Scrooge.
Once you have placed five playful and familiar pieces of furniture and taken a photo of it, you will automatically be notified whether you want to submit the photo. Confirm this to complete the task successfully.
You can then return to Vanellope. After that, all you have to do is place your house anywhere you like and pay Scrooge 4,000 coins to have it built. Vanellope then moves to your valley and you have unlocked her permanently as a resident.
