Unihertz Luna is a copy of Nothing with colorful lighting

We already know Unihertz from the most compact smartphone with Android, but the Chinese have more. At the Mobile World Congress, the manufacturer showed a copy of the Nothing Phone 1, the Luna, also with colorful lighting.

Unihertz full of color

We toured the seven halls of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and occasionally stopped at a booth. This was the case with Unihertz, a Chinese manufacturer that is not very well known here, but where we were surprised by a number of models. We’ll be highlighting another one this week, having previously written about the Jelly 2, the smallest Android phone in existence and now we’ve got the Unihertz Luna for you, which we’ll talk you through.

The Unihertz Luna is the latest smartphone from the manufacturer. The phone is mainly shown on the back at the fair, which means that the back of the phone gets the most attention. Not surprising, because we see a technique that we have seen before. The back of the phone can light up in different colors. There are several strips on the back, which light up based on the sound, a notification or a call. You can adjust various settings for this. The phone is very reminiscent of the Nothing Phone 1.

Furthermore, the device is still quite comfortable in its jacket in terms of specifications. The phone has a 108 megapixel main camera, there is a 5000 mAh battery, a 3.5 millimeter connection and there is 256GB of storage space. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. There is 8GB of RAM and a 20-megapixel front camera. The smartphone only offers 4G support and strangely enough runs on Android 12. Just like with the Jelly 2, the brand says about this; there are no update plans. Security updates are being rolled out “as long as we can”. So doubtful. The price of the smartphone will be around 300 euros. Unihertz will release the device later this month. Devices from the manufacturer are sold through Amazon.
