Two news from two categories

Nokia has just introduced us to its two new products. The Nokia C30 is a representative of the lowest class, while the Nokia XR20 can attract those who ask a little more about the phone. So let’s imagine both models.

Nokia C30

The Nokia C30 is truly a basic smartphone. This is also indicated by the Android 11 Go edition operating system. It is simply a light version of Android, which is able to run on very weak hardware. This novelty will not offer much under the hood, but it will certainly not disappoint the least demanding ones in any way.

The novelty has an eight-core processor, 2 GB to 3 GB of operating memory and 32 GB to 64 GB of internal storage for user data. Furthermore, a smile on your face will make it possible to expand the internal memory with a microSD card up to a capacity of 256 GB.

It is quite possible that the Nokia C30 will appeal to children or the elderly. That’s why it can please the large, 6.82-inch HD + display, which conveniently displays a game or shows text in a suitable size so that it is clearly legible.

At the back we find a pair of sensors, while the primary one has a resolution of 13 MP and autofocus. It is complemented by a 2 MP camera to measure the depth of field. In front, we find a 5 MP “selfie” sensor, which is located in the middle at the top of the screen in a V-shaped cutout.

Nokia 3.4

The 6000 mAh battery and relatively economical hardware guarantee that you will reach for the 10 W charger at the end of the next day. With a truly unpretentious phone, it can last even longer when charged. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, which may not have been a matter of course, support for face unlocking and a 3.5 mm audio jack for wired headphones.

Nokia XR20

The Nokia XR20 was introduced with a rather unusual design for Nokia. The rear camera module is not typically circular, but square. Android 11 became the operating system. The manufacturer claims that this model will be updated for three years. The front is dominated by a 6.67-inch display with Full HD + resolution.

In the middle of its upper part there is a so-called “hole-punch” cutout with an 8 MP “selfie” camera. At the back, the primary sensor is a 48 MP sensor, which is complemented by a 13 MP ultra wide-angle lens. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset, which belongs to the lower middle class. 4 GB to 6 GB of RAM is sufficient, as is 64 GB to 128 GB of storage. This can be expanded thanks to support for microSD memory cards.

Nokia 5.3

The battery has a capacity of 4630 mAh and is charged with an 18 W charger. An interesting fact is the support of 15 W Qi wireless charging. You will be pleased with the presence of a programmable button, a security element in the form of a fingerprint reader or IP68 water and dust resistance certification.

The phone is also resistant to falls. It is characterized by the military standard MIL-STD-810H. The 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting wired headphones is also great news for old lovers, but they are already being used less and less today. People are switching to wireless alternatives.

Competition for the Nokia C30 and Nokia XR20

Virtually everything can be considered competition for the Nokia C30 model at a price of approximately 100 euros. Redmi 9 is a great candidate to buy. We think that the Nokia XR20 smartphone can then be included in the price category of around 200 to 300 euros. A suitable alternative may be the cheap Huawei P40 Lite or Samsung Galaxy A21s. The POCO brand from Xiaomi also has a good portfolio.
