‘Twitter will warn you about conversations you want to avoid’
Twitter warns users about conversations among the tweets that can be hurtful or very loaded. At the moment it is a test on Android and iOS. If you respond or retweet yourself, Twitter can also point out a number of values and standards that the social network puts first.
Twitter Alerts
The spread of fake news and heated and hurtful discussions are unfortunately still inextricably linked to social media. Critics and policymakers are also increasingly expecting social media apps to take responsibility and implement measures to counter those practices.
Twitter is therefore testing something new. In discussions where offensive language is used, a warning appears at the bottom of the comments: “Conversations like this can be very loaded.” It’s just one of the new notifications that Twitter wants to show to users, and that should contribute to a better experience for everyone. That makes the social network known in a tweet.

Countering fake information
Another example appears when you want to respond in the app itself in one of those conscious conversations that are sensitive. “Let’s get together” is the title of a pop-up notification that appears, and then Twitter lists three important rules that should help you type a well-defined message. Be human and discuss the facts, that’s what it comes down to.
In addition, Twitter may also warn you when you tweet a message that may have objectionable content, and may display a similar warning if you retweet a message that Twitter believes you have not read the content itself. This should help to prevent the spread of disinformation.
At the moment, the notifications are only being tested for a select number of users in the apps for Android and iOS, but Twitter may roll them out to a wide audience later. What do you think, is it a good thing that Twitter is a little tighter in certain conversations? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
