Twitter Circle now available to all users

The social network Twitter has announced a new feature for every user. It’s Twitter Circle and it allows you to specifically share a tweet with someone else.

Twitter Circle

A new feature is being rolled out to Twitter users. The social network gets Twitter Circle as a new feature, an option that was previously tested among a small group. The Circle feature makes it possible to limit the tweets you send to a smaller audience. Now when you share a tweet, it will be visible to everyone. With the Circle you choose a group of up to 150 people, which you add to your circle. The tweet is then only visible to those who are and only they can respond.

You will see the Twitter Circle option if you want to compose a message. When you add or remove someone from your circle, they will not be notified. Those who see a Twitter Circle tweet do see that they are part of a circle. The tweet will then be accompanied by a badge with the text “Only people in the Twitter Circle of (username) will see this tweet”. The feature allows you to have more control over your privacy without having to make your account completely private. Of course it is possible for those in your Circle to, for example, take screenshots of the tweet. The feature is similar to Instagram Good Friends.
