Samsung One UI 3.1 comes with Google Discover

The latest version of Samsung’s skin, One UI, will ship with Google Discover. Samsung has used its own alternative in the form of Samsung Daily or Bixby Home. So that is about to change.

One UI with Google Discover

Samsung has a pretty wild reputation when it comes to filling the left home screen. You will usually find Google Discover here with devices from most other manufacturers. This shows you the news of topics that you may find interesting. This was not possible with Samsung. Samsung used its own service; which has changed name many times in recent times. What started with Flipboard eventually resulted in Bixby Home, Samsung Daily and, since One UI 3.0, Samsung Free.

Now it is clear from images that Samsung will deliver the Galaxy S21 with support for Google Discover. Previously there were already reports that Google would like to increase its presence on Samsung devices. You can assume that Google has transferred a nice amount to Samsung’s account for this, because Discover is not an obligation for manufacturers of Android devices.

The arrival of Google Discover to the Galaxy S21 seems to be part of the One UI 3.1 update. This could mean that when your device receives the One UI 3.1 update, it also has the option to set up Google Discover. Are you happy with this improvement? We would love to hear it in a response, below this message.
