TV cuts due to Free Mobile’s 4G
Free Mobile’s 4G seems to be a problem, to the point of causing TV cuts. At least fifteen households are affected by this reception problem via TNT in Saint-Brevin, in the west of France.
Free Mobile’s 4G causes TV cuts
The connection between the TV cuts and the 4G of Free Mobile was made after several calls from residents. “I have scratches on the screen or it says no signal”, said one of them. He then telephoned the town hall of Saint-Brevin to ascertain the problem. He then contacted the ANFR, namely the National Frequency Agency. “They gave me a case number but I didn’t hear back afterwards. And while talking, I noticed that other neighbors are going through the same thing. A person who is at Les Rochelets also told me about this situation ”, does he have indicated to the local press.
According to the ANFR, the problem seems to come from a 4G station of Xavier Niel’s operator. Residents who have trouble with television are invited to file a complaint. It can be done on the Internet (receivelatnt.fr) or by phone (0970 818 818). “These viewers can benefit from the installation of a filter to (normally) solve their problems of reception of DTT via the rake antenna”, indicates the ANFR. The Agency specifies that it is the operator (Free Mobile in this case) who must pay for the equipment and not the viewer.
