Top speed on the Internet for less than 40 euros

Fast landline internet is only available for a lot of money. Vodafone wants to change that now and is lowering the costs for its top-speed GigaCable Max tariff. Other tariffs are also becoming cheaper.

Vodafone reduced gigabit: top speed for 39.99 euros

In times of home office and co., Vodafone is trying to attract customers: The GigaCable Max tariff is being completely renewed for a few months. The gigabit tariff offers data speeds of up to 1,000 Mbit / s for download and 50 Mbit / s for upload. The Düsseldorf-based cable and mobile communications provider is lowering its costs to 39.99 euros per month (Source: Vodafone), this saves you 10 euros compared to the normal price.

What is there for it? Customers receive the fastest data transfer rate currently available on the landline internet. According to their own information, this is available at the cheapest price in Germany. The offer is only valid from August 10th to November 1st (at the rate at Vodafone). So if you are considering a change of provider, you can still take your time.

As Vodafone informs, the discounted monthly price will apply permanently if you book during the offer period. This also applies to existing customers. You can switch to GigaCable Max if the previous tariff was cheaper – regardless of the contract period that may still be in place.

It also includes a flat rate for landline telephony in all German networks, even if it can now hardly be used as a purchase argument. However, the top speed on the Internet is still long not necessary for every household. If you still want to strike, you should check availability directly with Vodafone beforehand.

You also need the cable technology standard DOCSIS 3.1 to get everything out of the tariff. So that the speed does not fizzle out in the home network, your Ethernet connection should also have Gibgabit speed and the WiFi should be correct. Tip: If you don’t want to use the cable modem provided by Vodafone, you can rely on the more versatile Fritz boxes 6591 (Amazon) or 6660 (Amazon).

Vodafone is giving away a 6-month basic fee for Phone & Cable

If you pay attention to all of this, you will actually find it in the Vodafone range a lot of performance for comparatively little money: The corresponding offer costs twice the monthly price at Telekom via fiber optics at 79.95 euros – the only difference is the higher data rate in uploads promised by Telekom with up to 200 Mbit / s.

Vodafone also uses the opportunity to advertise the “Red Phone & Cable” tariffs. In the same promotional period you save the basic fee when booking online from 19.99 euros for the first six months. Ordering online also saves you the one-time service fee of 69.99 euros.
