In the Round Table of Elden Ring you will meet, among other things, the mysterious Fia. When you talk to her, she offers to hold you and you can either agree or refuse. But what are the consequences of this decision and what is the use of the blessings of the firmament that you receive for it?

Let Fia hold you or refuse? consequences
Being faced with choices in Souls games sets alarm bells ringing for veterans of the series, as this often triggers hidden quests and sometimes even impacts different endings depending on the choice.
In the case of Fia, here’s what happens when you let yourself be held.
Let Fia stop: You will receive the item “Blessing of the Firmament”. This consumes 10 FP when used and increases your balance slightly for about 10 seconds, making it harder for you to be thrown off balance by enemy attacks for that period of time. Overall a rather useless item. Worse, however, is that you receive a debuff, recognizable by the red square icon with an arrow under your stamina bar. This ensures that you have 5% less life points.
Remove red debuff
To get rid of the penalty, you have to just use the blessings of the firmament and wait for the effect to wear off. This will then also remove the debuff. So you are not afflicted with this flaw for the rest of the game.
However, you can let Fia hold you as often as you like and then always get the blessing of the firmament and the debuff. However, you can’t get multiple boons at once, and the debuff doesn’t stack either. You always have to use up the boon before you can get a new one.

While hugging Fia, you can have conversations with her under certain conditions. More specifically, if you want to advance Wizard Rogier’s quest, you can talk to her about the black knives. She even gives you that Item “Note on the knife mark”. This refers you to a very specific point on the map.
