Google has suspended the December update for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro

Google Pixels suffer from one mistake after another. The latest update is also the update, which was supposed to fix about 100 bugs. The big December update that so many Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners have been looking forward to. The report is provided by the XDA portal.

Google stopped the December update, the next one will come at the end of January

As early as December, this update came to newer Pixels a week later than for other models. That may have meant something, but no one knew it would cause another serious problem. Many users started to lose the signal – some randomly, others only during calls.

Strangely, some Pixel owners came up with this update immediately, while others did. Many of those who did not receive it decided to install it manually.

A Google representative wrote on the Pixel Forum: “The Pixel team suspended a December software update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices after some users reported a call being dropped or disconnected. We have now identified a fix that will be listed in a software update in late January. This update will also include all the fixes and enhancements that were originally planned for December. “

His answer is quite comforting, the next update, which will come at the end of January, should fix the December problems + some more. However, those who have not yet received the December update will still have a month with the November patches. It’s better than getting the wrong update to keep them from making calls.

Google only has one solution for those who are having difficulty with the December update: return the system to factory settings and install the November update.

Fortunately, Google still has a November update on the OTA Images or Factory Images page.
