Canceling Spotify Premium: this is how it works
For a certain amount per month you can listen to unlimited music on Spotify. It is possible to create playlists, listen to songs offline and there are no ads in between.
For 9.99 euros per month you have a normal Spotify Premium subscription, but with a Family subscription you pay 14.99 euros for a maximum of six people. You also have options for two people (Spotify Duo for 12.99 euros) and a special rate for students (4.99 euros).
Do you listen to less music than you thought, or do you not mind the advertisements in between and do you want to go back to the free subscription? Then it is possible to cancel your Spotify Premium subscription. You can read exactly how to do that below!
This is how you can easily cancel Spotify premium:
- Open the Spotify website in your browser and log in;
- Tap the gear and then choose the top option;
- Scroll down in the account overview and choose ‘Change subscription’;
- Scroll down and tap ‘Cancel Premium’;
- Confirm your choice afterwards
It is of course also possible to change your subscription to a different type in the same menu, such as a student subscription.
