TikTok for teenagers only for 40 minutes a day

This youth regime is part of a Chinese government decree aimed at reducing the time young people spend online. They will be able to use the application daily from 6:00 to 22:00 and will not be able to turn on other application windows. The rules only apply to authenticated users using real data, which should be assisted by the parents of minors in the activation.

Chinese government officials consider Internet addiction to be dangerous. Last month, the Chinese press unveiled new rules that say residents under the age of 18 can only play computer games on Fridays, holidays, and weekends from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. State authorities have influenced gaming companies and applications such as TikTok to such an extent that each requires verification of real personal information. Online games even require verification using a phone number.

The content that children will see on TikTok will be edited. It will contain more informative videos, social experiments, videos from museums, information about historical monuments and the like.
