TikTok is tough when users whistle at the rules. According to the latest quarterly report from operator ByteDance, over 15 million accounts have been deactivated in three months. More than 24 million TikTok videos have disappeared. However, the reason for the deletion is quickly apparent.

TikTok removes 15 million accounts

TikTok operator ByteDance has presented a new quarterly report. Accordingly, no fewer than 15 million accounts on the popular video platform were deactivated in the fourth quarter of 2021. Along with the accounts are removed more than 24 million TikTok videos been. As the reason for the large deletion campaign, TikTok states that the video creators were younger than 13 years, which is not permitted under the terms of use.

According to its own statements, TikTok has throughout 2021 Removed 67 million videos from children. Compared to Q3, TikTok’s deletion department was a little quieter overall between October and December. 85 million videos removed versus more than 90 million. TikTok states that around one percent of all uploaded videos are deleted again.
