Pathé Treats: this is how you watch movies for free
From last Thursday (5 November) to Wednesday 18 Wednesday you can watch a free movie every day at Pathé Thuis. Pathé selects these films himself and makes them every morning at 9:00 am known which you can watch for free. You can see this in the Stories on Pathé’s Facebook or Instagram account, but the cinema chain also shares on Twitter every day which film you can watch for free. You do need an account to claim and watch the free movies.
- Check which movie is free
Go every morning to the Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page van Pathé to see which film is free;
- Rent the movie
Open the film in the Pathé Thuis app (or Chrome) and tap ‘Watch film’ and Watch from 0 euros’
- Choose the quality
Then choose whether you want to rent the films in SD (standard quality) or HD (high quality);
- Watch now or later
Then you can immediately start watching. If you want to check the movies later, choose ‘Watch later’.
If you choose ‘Watch later’, you have 30 days to switch on the film. During that period, it will remain in your account at ‘My films’. After starting a movie you have 48 hours to watch it, after which it disappears from your account. Important to know: You have until 11:59 PM every day to claim the free movie. If you are late, you have to wait until the next morning for a new free movie.
You can of course watch the films on your smartphone or tablet via the Pathé Thuis app, but the application also has Chromecast support. This way you can simply stream the films to your television.
