The reason is that the AI ​​would take over more and more routine work, such as creating or checking documents. As a result, the profession can be practiced more effectively and law firms can afford more specialists who negotiate real cases.

People’s current concerns about artificial intelligence remind the Google CEO of the introduction of the computer or the Internet. These innovations would also have cost some jobs on the labor market, but in the long run they would have created significantly more and thus ensured prosperity.

He advises that people should not get too attached to progress. “AI will touch everything: every sector, every industry, every aspect of our lives.” Big changes are coming.

However, the first tangible effects of new AI technologies can already be seen. The computer company IBM wants to hire fewer people for some jobs because their activities can be taken over by AI-based software.

IBM CEO Arvind Krischna expects that around a third of the jobs in HR administration can be replaced by AI and automation in five years, he told the Bloomberg financial service.

The jobs most affected are those that – similar to what Sundar Pichai predicts – mainly do office work and can therefore ultimately be automated. However, the IT group is also planning to set up new positions in software development and customer service.
